Zhijun Liu

Having earned two Masters of Law (L.L.M.) Degrees as well as a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Degree, Zhijun Liu brings a wealth of education and international legal experience to Avelino Nitkewicz LLP. In addition to being licensed to practice law in New York State, Ms. Liu is licensed to practice law in the People's Republic of China. Ms. Liu is currently studying to take the Unified Certified Public Accountant Examination and anticipates being a licensed Certified Public Accountant by the end of 2009.

In 2009 Ms. Liu joined Avelino Nitkewicz LLP as counsel to its International Law and Tax Departments. Prior to joining the firm Ms. Liu practiced law in China and was associated with several prominent New York Law Firms concentrating in Immigration, Taxation, International Dispute Resolution and Business Transactions (foreign, domestic and cross-border).

Currently Zhijun Liu is counsel to the firm's International Law and Tax Departments. Ms. Liu assists individuals and corporate clients in all areas of inbound and outbound immigration. Ms. Liu assists corporate clients in developing strategic business immigration programs and policies. Additionally, Ms. Liu provides representation to domestic and foreign business entities (corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies), private clients and tax-exempt organizations in all Federal State and Local Tax matters. Ms. Liu also counsel's the firm's Trusts and Estates Department in counseling individuals and families with respect to estate, income, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxation, succession planning and asset protection.
