The firm was founded in 1999 by A. Jude Avelino. In 2000, Andrew P. Nitkewicz joined the firm, then known as Avelino & Associates, as a trial attorney and head of its Litigation Practice. In 2008 Avelino & Associates changed its name to Avelino Nitkewicz LLP to reflect Mr. Nitkewicz's role as partner in the firm.

Our estate-planning department is located in Chatham, New Jersey, and serves clients in Summit, New Providence, Madison and other communities in north-central New Jersey.
Our litigation and international law practice has offices in New York City's financial district in Manhattan and in Garden City on Long Island.
Our regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours and weekend appointments available by appointment.
