Biographical Information:
A. Jude Avelino is a 1995 graduate from Brooklyn Law School. He graduated in 1992 from Fordham University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at Fordham University, he was inducted into the Political Science National Honor Society and was on the Dean’s List.
After obtaining successful verdicts and settlements on behalf his clients, Mr. Avelino assisted many of his clients with their estate planning needs. In 1999
Mr. Avelino founded the Law Office of A. Jude Avelino with concentrations in Estate Planning and Plaintiff’s Trial Litigation. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Avelino began concentrating in solely in Estate Planning.
Mr. Avelino currently heads the Life Planning division of The Avelino Law Firm concentrating on Generational Family Wealth Management, Asset Protection, and Estate Planning. He is committed to helping wealth continue within families for generations while protecting those funds from creditors- divorce, lawsuits, etc.
Mr. Avelino is a founding member of the Advanced Planning Legal Network, associating with some of the top estate planning attorneys in the United States. With cutting edge and IRS approved trusts, Mr. Avelino is able to assist his clients in passing down wealth for generations thus enabling clients to establish a legacy that will live on for generations. Mr. Avelino is committed to ensuring that his client’s wishes are followed through even after that client passes away.
Furthermore, Mr. Avelino assists professionals, i.e., doctors, lawyers, financial advisors and brokers, with their asset protection needs. Mr. Avelino often quotes John D. Rockefeller: "Control everything and own nothing.”
Mr. Avelino has lectured to many wire houses and banks including Wachovia Securities to educate financial advisors and brokers how to help their clients retain wealth on a generational level. And to help brokers and financial advisors to retain clients on a generational level.

Charitable Endeavors:
For the last four years, Mr. Avelino has proudly served as an Executive Committee member of the Board of Directors of Gilda’s Club New York City- the cancer charity founded on behalf of late comedienne Gilda Radner. Gilda’s Club New York City provides meeting places where men, women and children living with cancer – and their family and friends – can join together to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care – free of charge.
Trial Lawyers Care has recognized Mr. Avelino for his volunteer work in representing victims of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Trial Lawyers Care, the largest pro bono project in the history of American jurisprudence, enabled hundreds upon hundreds of families to better cope with the aftermath of that horrific day. Mr. Avelino represented the Chief of Safety of the New York Fire Department recover for injuries he sustained during the rescue efforts on September 11, 2001.
Mr. Avelino also performs many hours of pro bono work for economically disadvantaged individuals every year.
Mr. Avelino currently holds the position of President of the Garden School Alumni Association for his high school- The Garden School.
